International Arbitration Survey

20.10.2020 International Arbitration Survey

These surveys are considered to be amongst the most influential thought leadership initiatives in the global arbitration space, and are highly regarded by practitioners, academics, and expert commentators.

Premise of the survey

The 2020 survey will focus on the adaptability of international arbitration in a changing world. It seeks to explore how international arbitration has adapted, and may continue to adapt further, as the interests and needs of the arbitral community reflect global changes, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Target audience

As with previous surveys, we aim to research the outlook of the international arbitration community as a whole, and not just the views of any particular group within it. We hope, therefore, to be able to represent the views of as wide and diverse a pool of respondents as possible.

What we plan to do with the results

The survey questionnaire will be open from 8 October until 11 December 2020. A qualitative interview phase will be conducted alongside this. If you would like to participate in an interview, please contact the White & Case Research Fellow in International Arbitration at QMUL, Maria Fanou.

The results of the survey will be published in the form of a report in Spring 2021.

White & Case will make a donation to SOS Children’s Villages and WWF (World Wildlife Fund) for every completed questionnaire or interview.
